Clay workshops
“I found the workshop incredibly enjoyable. I never imagined that the process of clay-making could be so much fun and calming. Although I don’t consider myself a very creative person, I felt at ease during the session, able to mold, make mistakes, and start over. Working with clay in the company of others was comfortable, allowing me to engage in conversations as much or as little as I wanted. I could immerse myself in the clay-making process and be as playful as I wished. I truly appreciated the way Adela structured the session. She provided just the right amount of instruction—enough to guide us, but not so much that it stifled our own exploration and enjoyment of the clay. The attention to detail in the arrangements, such as the decor, the various ways to clean our hands, and the materials to take our soft clay home, made the workshop both enjoyable and memorable.”

“The clay workshop on the 8th of April was a joyful and liberating experience (not liberating in a Trumpian sense0 but liberating in the sense of freeing myself from . . . here it gets tricky. I am not exactly sure of the process that occurred so perhaps I should start by informing you that up until your workshop, I had not communicated the loss of my elder sister to many people. Of course, I had to notify my work but I found it hard to contact friends and explain why I had not been in contact. In fact, I am yet to do so with many friends. However, at the end of your workshop, I felt comfortable speaking directly about my bereavement. There was something about the exploratory and tactile nature of working with the clay that allowed me to feel at ease in alluding to my bereavement. In part, I think it was the sense of community understanding that you established and in part, related to the mutability of the clay.”

” It was great fun! I have to admit, being the only guy in the room, I felt a bit out of place at first—like I’d accidentally walked into a secret art club. I always thought men and crafting don’t really go together, but I was wrong! I ended up really enjoying it. Work with children
” We’ve known Adela for a few years now and my 2 boys absolutely adore her.
